Beaver Dam
May 14, 2011
Beaver Dam, WI

Heard from friend today that yesterday's Beaver Dam Race, simply put was 'unbearable'!
"It was an awfull day.... only one of the teams even finished and that was after they cut the race in half, windy as hell and cold to boot".

He also said, "Last year they ran the whole 22 miles in 29 minutes.....this year the only team to ski it in took 45 to do 11 miles" ....
I asked, how many boats in the race ... he told me 5 boats ran, only one skied it in.
Everyone else gave up, there were 4-5 footers per boat..

I left a message for Race Organizer Chad Weisensel to call me back w/ a follow- up.
Will attempt to get results(s) Video / Pic's for members to read ... stay tuned!

Yeah, from talking to Marc, the team that finished, like you said only finished 11 of the 22 miles. So, technically, no one finished. Ben Deiser said the white caps were 2 feet tall....
