The Induction Ceremony of Ron Scarpa was amusing to say the least, he cracked a few jokes as he stood at the podium in front of the attendees a gathering of at least 200 plus people.
After reinstating some of his accomplishments of his career, he went onto give thanks to all the people that both helped and supported him order for him to reach his goals.
It was a opportunity for Ron to give back to the sport his thanks to all the people in the Discipline Barefoot'n field as well to the boat and equipment manufacturing company's which sponsored and supported him for throughout his barefoot water-skiing career.
It seemed everyone who was anyone in the water-skiing industry was nearly in attendance.
Giving from the likes of the Meloone's, Kidder, Connelly, Fleck, McDonald and even Canadian Richard Grey himself showed up.
I thank God for the opportunity to bear witness in the milestone of Ron Scarpa's Induction into the Water-Ski Hall Of Fame.

After the Induction, I was able to ask Ron a few questions that where on the minds of our members ...
Here's how it went down.
So thanks again Ron for helping us on barefootski.com answering these few questions.
The purpose of the questions asked are in order to share your barefoot history and career with the current members of our forum.
1. What was your biggest accomplishment as a barefoot water-skier?
Winning my first overall title in England in 1992.
2. What do you enjoy most about barefoot water-skiing?
Being on the boat with friends and family in such a great atmosphere.
3. What is your favorite trick?
Tumble Turn
4. Now that you've reached your final plat-toe in the sport, how do you feel you will be able to continue to pass on the Scarpa torch?
Tough question and I don’t think it’s for me to pass on rather someone needs to step into that role. There are many great up and coming skiers who might do that.
Sincerely Ron, thanks again for giving so much to everyone you've ever met in the Sport of Barefoot Water-Skiing.
The lives you've touched and influenced are countless, your spirit for the sport will never die.
And may in fact, live on thru others that will follow in your footsteps.
