Honestly, IMO I'm not so convinced this is really a genuine 'set record'.
The fact of two concerning circumstances follow my decision ...
One, at the speed he 'traveled' he would of toasted he feet and didn't not take the necessary safety precautions as by wearing PROTECTIVE gear as like that worn by Scott Pellaton of California, back in '89.
Secondly, it looked as though he was butt riding on his rear end across the run which technically doesn't constitute as barefoot skiing.
Nevertheless, the mere feet alone of holding on at whatever speed he was traveling was pretty amazing and I've got to give him kutto's for that!
Scott's record of 135 MPH was set in 1989.

All I know is it is not barefooting if it is not on your bare feet. _________________ "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."

not buying it, not thinking barefeet could handle 153mph witout shoes of any sort. also not sure the bird could get to that speed that fast. alot of unknowns and probably nots im thinking
Yup... I think it is bogus too.
Pellaton coasted to a stop for a longer distance and he was using a parachute. That shoud have decreaased his glide out when compared to the other Guy...

The guy didn't even look like a good footer. It didn't look much over 60 to me. Total sketch. Fun to watch though for sure. And yes, I too was hoping for a wipeout! hehe.

HOLD ON! He was wearing BI Shoe Skis??
THAT IS NOT FOOTING!
Seriously. Watch the video of Scott Pellaton and then this guy. There is NO WAY that this Mexican was going over 130 MPH. [/size]

Agreed. Maybe 80MPH at the most. Weak. NOTHING compared to Scot's record.
